Hire a Hollywood Personal Assistant

Personal assistants handle home and office tasks that take up time in your day. They are a right-hand who supports your busy life by managing routine tasks so you can focus on what matters most to you (your business, your family, or yourself!)

Clients pay their personal assistant directly. We do not facilitate payments, or take a cut of your personal assistant’s hourly rate. Our service fee to match you with qualified candidates and facilitate interviews is separate from what you pay your personal assistant for their work.

You can expect to pay $30-50/hr for support from a personal assistant. If you are looking to hire a part-time executive assistant, or a candidate with extensive experience, you can expect candidates to ask for a minimum of $40/hr.

First, submit our Client Questionnaire to establish your needs and preferences. After reviewing, we will send you your best candidate matches and schedule your interviews (for free!). Once you decide to hire one of our candidates, there is a one-time $750 placement fee. You pay your PA their hourly wages directly.

At this time, we do not offer full-time personal assistants. All of our assistants are looking for part-time positions ranging from 5-25 hours per week.

The Middle does not conduct background checks. As a California company, we adhere to California's "Ban the Box" Assembly Bill 1008, which prevents background checks from being conducted before a conditional offer of employment. Since the candidates are not The Middle’s employees, we are not legally allowed to perform the background check.

We do conduct reference checks, and all candidates are pre-screened in an interview with our team. Post-interview, candidates must complete an internal assignment that assesses how they research, organize and communicate information and perform online tasks.

We strive to provide matches within 5 days, though it can take up to 2 weeks (if we are currently onboarding new candidates who may be a match). Interviews are set up based on your availability so as soon as you provide that information, we can get started on scheduling them for you. The process can move as quickly as 1 week!

We place personal assistants for private individuals and busy professionals rather than in specific industries. We match you with candidates who fit your specific needs, and one of the aspects we consider is experience or interest in your industry. Clients of The Middle range from screenwriters to consultants to artists to content creators to engineers to interior designers- the list goes on!

Yes. Many of our candidates have backgrounds in film & TV, and understand the demands of the industry. When you hire a personal assistant in Hollywood with us, we can match you with a candidate familiar with production schedules, script coverage, or just the general pace of the business.

Absolutely. Your assistant can handle grocery runs, drop-offs, and other logistics so you don't have to navigate the winding roads for every little thing.

Our assistants are great at keeping the home front running smoothly. They can assist with:

• Meeting repair technicians or cable guys during service windows.

• Organizational projects like decluttering closets or pantries.

• Managing mail and paying household bills.

While standard hours are typically Monday through Friday, many of our assistants are open to flexible schedules that include occasional weekend support. Just be sure to outline your scheduling preferences in your questionnaire so we can find the right match.

The Middle acts as a matchmaker, not the employer. Most clients hire their assistants as independent contractors, but we recommend consulting with a tax professional to determine the best classification for your specific situation.
