What is a lifestyle manager?

They provide personalized support, whether you have a demanding career, travel frequently, or are managing a family household. What’s the difference between a personal assistant and a lifestyle manager?

A personal assistant in Los Angeles supports your daily workflow, handles your errands, makes appointments for you, and performs administrative tasks. They give you time back to be more productive by taking time-consuming tasks off your plate. A lifestyle manager can make your life run more smoothly and efficiently by managing the bigger picture, overseeing your home’s operations, and providing higher-level support for your LA lifestyle.

Cost of Hiring an Executive Assistant

Traditional employment agencies charge a 10-20% commission fee on a candidate’s salary. If the executive assistant’s salary is $100,000, and the agency charges 10%, your fee (on top of their salary) would be $10-20k! Other job boards and marketplaces can charge hundreds of dollars to keep your job ad up for as long as it takes to find the right applicant (and then leave you to review all of resumes!). We do things differently.

We are happy to provide you with EA candidates free of charge. We also coordinate and set up video interviews with your candidate selections at no additional fee. If you would like to hire a candidate you interview, we charge a one-time placement fee of $750. You pay your new part-time executive assistant their hourly wages directly.

Unlike candidates on traditional job boards and marketplaces, our executive assistants are not looking for full-time, salaried employment. Our part-time executive assistants have hourly rates between $35-50+/hr, depending on experience.

Does The Middle offer both in-person and remote executive assistants?

Yes! Our executive assistants can offer services both in-person in Los Angeles and New York City and remotely. Remote work is preferred as it is generally more efficient because EA work is often limited to computer-based tasks and coordination. Regardless of where your EA works from, they will always be located in your city.

How soon can an executive assistant from The Middle start working for me?

We’ll send you candidate matches within 2 weeks of receiving your Client Questionnaire. After reviewing their profiles, select who you would like to interview, provide us with your availability and we will coordinate and set up virtual interviews. If you decide to hire one of our executive assistant candidates, there is a one-time $750 Placement Fee. We’ll connect you directly with your hire and you will take it from there!
